Grants
The Charity invests in health service developments and research, mainly in NHS and academic organisations based in Lambeth and Southwark. Although the trustees make these awards to local organisations, their hope is that the charitable funds can benefit the wider NHS in the longer term. The Charity also makes interest-free loans, repayable over up to five years, where a project needs an initial investment but will generate significant income in the future.
The awards fund innovations in health care and high-quality translational research projects. Awards range from a few hundred pounds to project funding of over £1m. They reflect the Charity’s strategic themes of clinical innovation, wellbeing, the healthcare environment and staff development and the current translational research theme.
